1 year contract: May 1st, April 30th 2025, option to renew thereafter (start date if flexible in May)
Standard 3 month probationary period
Hours & Compensation
40 hours per week
Annual salary range:
$66,000 - $73,000 based on experience
Standard Health Benefits Package, after the probation period
Paid Holiday
2 weeks paid holiday per year (4%), unlimited unpaid holiday (see employee handbook for details)
Paid Sick and Wellness Days
You are entitled to 5 paid sick and wellness days per year, after the probation period
Professional Development
40 hours per annum allocated to professional development
2024 Spending budget: $500
Volunteer Time
2 hours can be allocated to volunteering each quarter (or one day per year)
Cell Phone Coverage
You will be reimbursed $40 each month to cover work related cell phone expenses

The Synergy Foundation is a Victoria based non-profit that was created in 2013.
Since its inception, Synergy Foundation has focused on innovative projects and programs that have pushed the envelope, supported hundreds of businesses, and turned great ideas into action.
Our three focus areas are green business, circular economy, and food security.This is represented in our core projects, BC Green Green Business, Project Zero, FED Urban Agriculture Society, and our annual event, the Ecostar Awards.
MANGER, OPERATIONS AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY PROJECTSThis position supports the mission and program work of Synergy Foundation.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who thrives in entrepreneurial environments, possesses strong organization skills and is ready to grow with a growing organization.
We are looking for an individual with experience in nonprofit management including funder and government relations, project management, organizational and operating systems.
In addition, skills and experience related to stakeholder engagement are an asset.This role will work closely with the Director of Program Operations and Executive Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management (60%)
For "Special Projects":
liaise with clients, responsible for planning and project execution, delegation of work, and delivery of quality results
Support with the delivery of the Circular Accelerator Program including conducting circularity assessment, documenting program processes, onboarding new circular advisors, liaising with stakeholders and other program support as needed
Support with the delivery of other key circular economy programs as needed including the Circular Economy Accelerator Program and National Incubator expansion
Supporting in writing project proposals as it aligns with Synergy Foundations mission and strategic priorities
Non-Profit Operations Management (40%)
Oversee funds received and complete funder reports
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with aligned organizations
Develop relationships with Government (local, Provincial, and Federal)
Organization administrative oversight, tasks may include but not limited to:
Employee and team training and review preparation support as needed as needed
Organizational management optimize digital systems, project management tools, other organizational systems
Implementing Non-Profit administrative best practices
Prepare materials for Board meetings liaise with board members
Create, maintain the development the Board of Directors Policy Manual
REQUIREMENTS:
Located in the Capital Regional District
Class 5 driver's license or Class 7 with two years driving experience
3-5+ years of experience with project and/or operations management
Understanding of and interest in business sustainability and circular economy
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong verbal and written communication
Strong sense of ethics in partnership building and relations
Experience managing projects funded by the government is an asset
Experience in program management
Experienced with non-profit governance and management systems is an asset
Well organized and attention to detail
Self-motivator and good with time management
Willingness to learn

staff after completing three months of employment. Additional information upon request.
Unlimited Vacation - Additional time off requests (un-paid) is unlimited. To respect project work
timelines, discuss extended vacation with the Director of Program Operations at least 2-3
months in advance. This will allow us to plan for reduced capacity within the team during this
time.
