DeafBlind Ontario Services supports people who are deafblind, as well as people who are Deaf, hard of hearing and non-verbal with a developmental disability.

Role:
Senior Accountant (Official Title
- 'Coordinator of Finance')
Reports into:
Director of Finance (DFIN)
Location:
Newmarket, Ontario (Not remote)
- Support in preparation and management of multiple, complex budgets. Ensures tracking of funding contracts and preparing financial reports to funders
- Completes monthend reconciliation for all accounts and prepares internal financial statements
- Monitors cash flow projections. Ensures the appropriate use of lines of credit and other credit facilities, where necessary; estimates adequate cash flow levels and monitors cash requirements over a variety of time frames
- Helps in preparation of yearend financial statements and related year end reports; liaises with and assists the organization's external auditors and manages the yearend audit process including addressing auditor queries and preparing working papers
- Responsible for accurate and timely filing of regulatory requirements (e.g., EHT, WSIB, HST)
- Ensures all payroll transactions, as provided by Ceridian, are posted to the general ledger free of error. Liaises with the HR department to ensure all corrections and adjustments are posted to the general ledger
- Reconciles annual T4 summary and prepares T3010 Charitable Information return
- Ensures all thirdparty invoices, corporate credit card transactions and employee expense claims are inputted and processed in the accounting system
- Reviews Accounts Payable aging and ensures timely payments to mitigate supplier/vendor discrepancies
- Receives and records cash and cheques, EFTs, etc.
- Generates Accounts Receivable invoices using accounting system
- Reviews Accounts Receivable aging and follows up on outstanding balances

$58,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
