The opportunity


The Manager will support the enhancement of management decision making on policies, processes, products and services based on insights generated from analytics and reporting, to advance the operating model / processes while encouraging relationships across functional teams and by elevating service quality in the following: Strategy and Planning Support, Data & Analytics and Finance & Reporting.

Who you'll work with

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Planning, Corporate Affairs.

The Manager, Business Planning and Operations is the primary point of contact for various internal and external partners within CA division (SLT, CALT), People & Culture, Product & Delivery, Finance, external consultants and vendors as required.


What you'll do- Provide support in mapping out priorities during the development of Strategic Plans- Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level and serve as a specialist resource to senior leaders and partners- Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making- Break down strategic problems, analyse data and information to provide insights and recommendations- Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives; ensures solutions are aligned with business and enterprise goals.

- Work with Senior leaders to align key performance indicators with operational forecasts and initiatives- Support execution of Divisional Scorecard and Quarterly Business Reports and ensure seamless teamwork- Efficiently maintain data integrity across various systems and data sources while seeking creative solutions and continuous improvements- Collect and prioritize business requirements across various groups while maintaining integrated connection focus- Optimize data insights and leverage knowledge from trends for monthly and quarterly business reporting- Support analysis of existing data modeling schemas to establish strong efficient data model- Deliver accurate and thorough analysis of key process drivers, root or systemic causes of cross functional operational issues, interpret findings and make recommendations- Meticulously manage data across various data sources and perform data integration maintenance and clean up on a regular basis- Communicate and train users to ensure all the workflow systems are used consistently and to the fullest capacity- Support an efficient process to coordinate and analyse financials of Corporate Affairs for reporting, planning, and forecasting requirements- Recommend and implement process improvement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications- Assist in workplace planning to by consolidating complex information into clear business concepts- Prepare quality financial analysis and presentations for senior leaders- Ensure that that key performance indicators are aligned with financial initiatives- Use data-driven approach to help manage a multi-million-dollar budget across different regions- Monitor and track financial performance and escalate if required areas of interest/concern


What you'll need- 3+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Data Modelling and Power BI certification preferred- Prior experience in a corporate legal department in data analytics would be preferred and familiarity with billing, finance, procurement and/or project management- Strong understanding of financial, legal and data science concepts- Excellent Microsoft skills (Excel, Power BI, Power Point, Word and Access)- Knowledge of either Power BI or Tableau is a must- Knowledge of data modelling and developing dashboards in Power BI Experience in developing Power BI dashboards and Data modelling is preferred- Comfortable working with Dynamics 365 databases- High ability to quickly learn and understand new skills- Client-service orientation- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills- Experience working on one or more team projects with multiple partners to solve a problem- Experience handling high volumes of tasks and projects- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple deadlines- Ability to communicate concepts clearly, accurately and succinctly to a wide range of audiences- Detail oriented and data driven; Intellectually curious and eager to learn with a growth mindset.
