Job Description:

What you'll be doing

  • With continuously evolving and changing markets, how does CIBC adapt to deliver on new strategies and services? As an Organizational Design Consultant in the Organization Design and Effectiveness team, you will help various business groups, at and enterprise level, navigate through new challenges to continue delivering strong results. You will have the opportunity to conduct best practice research, analyze effectiveness metrics, come up with innovative structural solutions, and propose new roles to deliver on business objectives. Our team is small but mighty, and partners with all Strategic Business Units across CIBC to consult and advise on structure and role design & evaluation.
  • At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 13 days per week onsite, while other days will be remote.
  • How you'll succeed
  • Research
  • Deep dive into market research and industry comparators on best practices related to job evaluation framework and job levelling.


  • Assess

  • Ensure new or changed roles are fair and equitable across the organization using our job evaluation methodology (Korn Ferry Method) and job hierarchy to assess complexity of work. Use Organizational Effectiveness Metrics to assess the entire bank's operational efficiency and influence improvement through scalable recommendations.
  • Collaborate and build relationships
  • Meet with team members and leaders to understand challenges related to delivering on strategic objectives and then translate those challenges into tangible solutions. Prepare job evaluation write ups to document and support the implementation of business objectives


  • Perform

  • Assist the leaders on the team with analysis and materials development for Senior leadership on organizationwide projects and team performance. Support the development of the team by enhancing tools/processes/methodologies and overall capability development.
  • Operational effectiveness
  • Support the development and/or enhancement of JE tools/templates/processes to enable continuous improvement of the JE functions and work with others on the team to determine opportunities to refine ODE efficiency and effectiveness.
