Field Technician - Nova Scotia
We are looking for motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills interested in working as part of a professional environmental consulting team.
Working as a
Field Technician you will be required to support spring, summer and fall ecological field programs located in the Maritime provinces.
Desired Experience/ Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Renewable Resources, or a Technical Diploma in Natural Resources or Environmental Management from a certified College or working towards one.
- A strong work ethic, selfmotivated, ability to troubleshoot and attention to detail is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An interest in the natural environment and renewable energy.
- Ability to work alone or with a team.
- Familiarity with ecological field surveys and survey methods.
- Willingness to work outside in adverse weather and ground conditions for long periods at a time.
- Basic understanding of computers, familiar with Microsoft Office, and experience with GPS and iPad devices.
- Outdoor clothing, a Class V driver's license, and safety certifications (Standard First Aid and WHMIS) are required.
