SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Gatehouse Attendant is responsible for providing security to the park through our controlled entry point after closing hours and recording of information from the entrance of the park road during night hours.

You will provide guests with Mt Seymour Resorts & Mount Seymour Provincial Park information. This is a graveyard shift position.

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
You can physically carry approximately 30lbs of equipment/gear for up to 150 meters.

You are willing to work in all weather conditions and shovel snow periodically.

You can remain alert during graveyard shifts.

You can work in a fast-paced environment.

ASSETS
You have experience with security enforcement.

You have your Traffic Control Person Certificate.

You have participated in Verbal Judo Training before.

You have Building Security Training.

ATTRIBUTES
You have strong public relations and guest service skills.

You can stay assertive while maintaining a friendly demeanor.

You can work well under pressure in a high-volume environment with ability to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgement.

You have Ability to psychologically cope dealing with angry park users.

You can follow direction and work unsupervised.

You are available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You have a positive attitude in all weather conditions and the ability to be a supportive team member.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent and clear communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with staff and supervisory personnel

Strong organizational and time management skills

The ability to work well under pressure in a busy work environment and be able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment

Other related duties as required.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

10-hour graveyard shift - Wednesday - Saturday

Seasonal position, December through to mid-April.

Hourly wage.

Complimentary season pass and shuttle bus pass.
