Mother &Child Program
We are currently seeking a Cook for a permanent position at our Mother and Child Center in Montreal. The Cook will be under the responsibility of the Facility Director and the Head Cook.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifies the quality of the ingredients and performs basic preparations for dishes
Prepares the ingredients required according to the menus (chop and peel fruits and vegetables, cut the meat, etc.)
Monitors the dishes while they are cooking
Verifies and prepares plates according to food regulation standards
Inspects and ensures the compliance of hygiene regulations of the premises and the equipment used
Monitors the inventory, the products and merchandise
Pays particular attention to food allergies and safety guidelines in the kitchen
Any other related tasks

PROFILE REQUIRED

Hold a cooking diploma recognized by the Ministry of Education
Hold a training certificate in hygiene and sanitation approved by MAPAQ
Minimum 1 year of experience in institutional cooking
Possess excellent organizational and occupational structure
Have the ability to communicate with others and be selfreliant
Bilingual (French and English, written and spoken will be considered an asset)
