Position Overview
As a field Technician, you are one of Trimen's front line ambassadors to our customers and the public. Your role as an Installer/Service Tech is to be prepared for installation as required by Trimen and our customers. You must be prepared to execute, and finalize projects according to predetermined deadlines. You will oversee quality control throughout the installation life cycle and effectively communicate to the installation manager.

As part of your planning and preparedness, you will ensure you have proper tools and supplies and they are in working condition.

Willing to travel throughout Ontario with some travel potential within Canada.


Responsibilities:


  • Installation from beginning to end
  • Be aware of project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate project requirements to team members and stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Assist in estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Determine and assess the need for additional support
  • Follow project expectations set by Project Managers team members and other stakeholders
  • Identify and assist in resolving project issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Adhere to schedules and project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis and devise contingency plans
  • Adhere to success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
  • Develop relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 plus years direct work experience in food service project installations, including various aspects of custom fabricated stainless steel components, refrigeration and buyout equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical specifications of various pieces of equipment
  • TIG welding experience required
  • Polishing experience an asset
  • Strong people, customer service and time management skills
  • Professional communication skills
  • Proficient understanding of installation techniques
  • Technically competent with various tools and materials
  • Own hand tools
  • Capable of lifting/moving more than 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working independently and in a teamoriented, collaborative environment
  • Can conform to shifting priorities and timelines promptly and efficiently
