General Description (SUMMARY, Scope, Purpose)
Our EB Benefits Analyst (BA) plays a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the service they need to properly manage their Employee's Benefits.
You will lead the Request For Proposal (RFP) process, analyze RFP results, work directly with Account Executive/Manager and Producer to help in serving clients by performing a variety of technical and analytical functions.
The BA will assist in developing and communicating recommendations based on client needs, analyzing the current insurance market, collecting/analyzing census data, reviewing bids for compliance, collecting/analyzing/preparing claim and benefit data for client meetings.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for RFP process across various lines of coverage (medical, dental, life, disability, etc.) for various clients.
Accountable for the development of ad hoc, monthly, quarterly, and/or year-end financial reporting for clients.
Create summaries that benchmark existing benefit plan provisions and costs to marketplace standards and, along with account management team, recommend changes for benefit competitiveness.
Stay abreast of current health and welfare benefit strategies by researching marketplace tendencies and initiating/participating in vendor discussions.
Develop and maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with colleagues and vendors to work towards the overall improvement of the organization.
Work Experience Requirements
Financial and analytical skills are required
Excellent organization and time management skills
- 3 years of related benefits insurance experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
Education Requirements
Four-year college degree preferred
Licensing or Certification Requirements
Currently licensed in good standing (or are willing to obtain licensure within 6 months)
