Role Summary
This role is responsible for providing analytical support to the SVP, Asset Management, and various Directors (Operations, Marketing, and Accounts Receivable).
Role Responsibilities
- Develop a monthly tracking system and maintain a database for property KPIs
- Develop a monthly tracking system for property specific revenue
- Develop and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for property KPIs and propertyspecific revenue
- Prepare analyses of reporting results, identifying outliers and trends by property, region, and expense category
- Review property budgets and assist in preparing budget reports
- Assist in analyzing property budget forecasts
- Maintain a Realty Tax file that summarizes all the portfolio tax appeal information and provide timely updates
- Manage the flow of information to our tax consultants for tax appeals
- Work within our ERP system, (Yardi), on the annual budget and quarterly forecast analysis
- Work with Marketing Director to track, trend, and analyze marketing spend by property
- Manage the flow of information to support the company ESG initiatives, specifically for GRESB
- Develop a process to collect property utility information, (gas, hydro, utilities, etc.), on a regular basis, update in a tracking system, and analyze for anomalies
- Prepare ad hoc reports upon request
- Prepare annual budget slide deck for JV partner
- Prepare the quarterly operations slide deck for JV partner
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Formal Education and/or Certifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, economics, or real estate
- Exposure to business intelligence
Years of Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an analysisdriven environment (preferably with retail real estate experience)
Specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Excellent problemsolving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent financial analysis capabilities
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- Experience in Yardi, Visio and Power BI a benefit
- Good understanding of retail real estate fundamentals and accounting
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
