Overview:

As a
Junior Systems Administrator, you'll be responsible for managing and maintaining critical IT infrastructure components. Your expertise will span both Linux and Windows environments, and you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations.


Here are the details:

Responsibilities:


LINUX ENVIRONMENT

  • Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure components in a virtualized Linux environment.
  • Fully manage the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all aspects of Linux servers.
  • Familiarity with data storage technologies such as NAS or SAN.
  • Provide tier 2 and 3 operational supports for Linux systems in a SaaS environment.

WINDOWS ENVIRONMENT

  • Experience with ESXi VMware, RHEL 6/7/8, Windows 200x Active Directory, virtual servers, DOD (Department of Defense) experience, and load balancing.
  • Administer Apache, MySQL, PHP, and phpMyAdmin web servers.
  • Install, build, configure, secure, document, and administer Windows Server systems, including hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage.

NETWORKING AND INFRASTRACTURE

  • Provide technical expertise in Cisco WAN, LAN, VoIP, WLAN, VPN, and firewall technologies.
  • Manage Layer 1 infrastructure, including new site design and construction.
  • Proactively maintain service and security requirements, aiming for 99.999% uptime.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing other data, server, and security systems as needed.
  • Perform advanced monitoring and reporting related to network systems.
  • Provide level 3 desktop support.
  • Support remote staff with troubleshooting issues.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Microsoft Exchange environment (Exchange 2013 and 2019).

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications:


  • CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, IAT, CE, II, MCSE, CCIE, RHCSA
