Description

As the AR Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for gathering data and analyzing trends in the Accounts Receivable portfolio across multiple divisions and operating systems.

This role will require you to provide data driven reviews and trends on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.


Key Responsibilities:


Month-End Process and Reports:

  • Assist in monthend activities related to AR and O2C Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor metrics such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Weighted Average Days to Pay, and general payment trends
  • Conduct reviews and variance analyses between budgeted targets and actual results

Cash Forecasting:

  • Collaborate on preparing the monthly cash forecast and set targets
  • Provide insights into cash flow trends and recommend actions based on analysis

Process Guidance and Reporting:

  • Establish reporting mechanisms to be shared with frontline leaders
  • Enforce policies and procedures through transparent reporting

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with various finance departments across the organization
  • Work seamlessly with different finance teams and other parts of the company

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

  • Understand and communicate the impact of M&A activities on the aged trial balance (ATB)

Ad Hoc Financial Reporting:

  • Develop and propose ad hoc financial reports to support business needs

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Provide prompt responses to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:


  • Minimum of 3 years in reporting, monthend accounting, and financial analysis for manager and executive levels
  • Postsecondary education in data analysis or accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze data and present it effectively to executive levels
  • High degree of attention to detail, ensuring accurate data review and overview
  • Successful prioritization of workload and meeting set deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization
  • Preferred experience in the waste industry
