Job Summary:


Under the direction of the Payroll Services Manager, the Payroll Account Associate (ATL) works as part of a team responsible for supporting the administration of payroll for our clients while supporting EP's mission and values and adhere to Company policies and procedures.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assists the Payroll Account Coordinators with inputting of Above the Line (ATL), union and nonunion manual timesheets
  • Provide support in importing EPOL payroll files
  • Assists with inputting of extras, if required
  • Vendorizes employee information into the payroll database
  • Understanding of ATL payments and associated contracts
  • Understanding of payroll/rulebook setup
  • Understanding of Project maxouts
  • At the discretion of the Payroll Services Manager, is assigned and processes postproduction payroll
  • Responsible for client management of assigned payroll accounts (where applicable)
  • Processes ROE inquiries and requests from production accountants and production employees on assigned payroll accounts
  • Providing payroll support in the absence of Payroll Account Coordinator (i.e. alternate coordinator for vacation/sick time)
  • Complete Special Processing instructions associated with the processing of payrolls
  • Assist with entering payroll adjustments (i.e. variances, void/reissues, retro HST payments, etc.)
  • Provide support in posting payrolls
  • Runs, assembles, and packages payroll reports
  • In conjunction with the Payroll Account Administrator, is responsible for filing all necessary documents and show information (deal memos, contracts, etc.)
  • Prepares and reissues stop/stale dated cheques
  • Provides support to all members of the Payroll Services team as required. Attends and participates in the Payroll Services Department meetings Performs other related duties as assigned by the Payroll Services Manager and/or Payroll Services Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in the Payroll Account Administrator role
  • 1year experience in a clerical environment, preferably payroll
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, deadlineoriented environment
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Shifted work schedule Tuesdays to Thursdays to accommodate high volume payroll
  • Desirable
  • Completion of CPA's Payroll Compliance Legislation course or CPA Level
  • Introduction to Payroll
  • Basic knowledge of accounting

Working conditions

  • Conditions are normal for an office environment
  • The hours of work are 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Some overtime may be a requirement of this position.
