Armour Transportation Systems, White Glove Division is currently seeking a Driver Check-in/load planner to join our team
in Moncton, New Brunswick.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Plan & optimize loads in order to gain best efficiencies, capacities and optimization on all routes
  • The primary task of a load planner is to maximize the capacity of the delivery network while maintaining a high level of White Glove service. A load planner must be able to optimize by mixing and matching loads and trucks, based product mix and destination as well as required delivery dates while considering other factors as well, such as delivery team hours of service and weather conditions.
  • Review and action problem shipments in a timely manner.
  • Proactively find capacity to move freight.
  • Review and communicate status reports.
  • Serve as point of contact between warehouse staff, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with warehouse staff, drivers and CSRs to communicate any special circumstances or requests pertinent to specific deliveries.
  • Communicate expectations to delivery team at time of loading / dispatch and ensure team is equipped with all paperwork, handheld device and information required to complete all deliveries successfully.

Education and Experience Criteria:


  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the transportation and logistics industry or a related field, or a combination of relevant work experience and education. Previous dispatch or load planner experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of the road transportation industry, including Atlantic Canada geography and travel times, is considered an asset.

Technical Skills:


  • Computer literacy and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office are required.
  • Experience and understanding of the TruckMate system are considered an asset.
