- Lead and collaborate with Project Managers to gather and confirm project reporting information.
- Compile project and program reporting, analysis and recommendations for Project Managers and Leadership.
- Extract and manipulate large amounts of project data.
- Understand construction project schedules, risks, budgets, accruals, forecasting, and earned value.
- Review and track invoices, status reports, change orders, and contingency use.
- Participate in project reviews on budget adherence, risk, schedule, and stakeholder management.
- Create and manage project delivery, maintenance, operations, and asset management dashboards.
- Work with Asset Management to ensure budgets are fully spent and utilized annually.
- Collaborate with an internal technology team to make system improvements.
- Work with Supply and Asset Management to set up new contracts and/or contract extensions.
- Review, develop recommendations, and lead the creation of effective project control processes.
- Support the development of the Project Management Office (PMO) by setting project standards, efficient processes, and project templates.
- Coordinate monthly project status report meetings with project managers and the leadership team.
- Ensure the process to develop project reports is efficient and documented.
- Attend construction site visits and project start up meetings on site.
- Complete annual project assessments and support the development of suggested PMO improvements.
- Distribute monthly project data to all stakeholders including coordinating intranet publishing. Qualifications
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or related field and at least 5 years of experience in Project Cost Controls or Project Management is required. Experience in Asset Management may be considered.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience with construction project management is required.
- Experience in reporting, monitoring, and forecasting of project performance is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and financial management systems is required.
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation will be considered an asset.
- Experience with Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Power BI will also be considered assets.
- You are a strong collaborator with experience working in multi-disciplinary teams with the ability to also work independently.
- You have excellent customer service and communication skills and can balance competing priorities under tight timelines.
