Position Summary
Reporting to the CVP Operations, the
Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that all projects/renovations meet the highest standards of quality.
This role will also be responsible for ensuring that products are procured at the best pricing terms internationally and locally and that inventory levels are maintained within company.
This role will work closely with the Regional team in all cities.Key Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Auditing
- Responsible for quality reporting/auditing, analytics, quantitative analysis, and tracking of renovation projects.
- Oversee accuracy and efficiency within SOP's currently used and define whether new procedures can be implemented. Update SOP's as required based on gaps found in assessments
- Ensure the timely execution of the Quality Assessment in each portfolio
- Define and create a Quality Assurance Management Plan
- Develop an effective database for monitoring and following up the progress of renovation projects to ensure all renovation works are completed in a timely manner
- Maintain a system of records do all findings of non
- Communicate all findings from assessments to the VP Operations, Operating Officer and Regional Managers
- Complete full portfolio assessments on a regular basis
- Ensure that all areas are following Mainstreet standards
- Conduct onsite meetings with Regional's and Area Managers, outlining the assessment findings
- Assess if Regionals are completing projects and inspections on a timely basis
- Ensure that all required inspections, schedules and paperwork are updated as required
Supervision Received
Works under the general direction of VP Operations; Able to work independently as well as contribute actively and collaborate openly as a team member.
Requirements and skills
- Possess postsecondary education in a related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Prior experience in Quality Management and assessment is considered an asset
- Multi-Family Residential Rental Industry experiences beneficial
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
- Knowledge of MS office
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi task
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
