Job Summary:
The principal responsibilities of the Quality Inspector are to ensure the products manufactured meet the requirements defined by the company and civil aviation regulations and engaging in related Continual Improvement activities within the Company.
Responsibilities:
- A Quality Inspector has the following responsibilities:
- Carry out inspections during the production of Diamond products.
- Identify and control nonconformances in accordance with the approved procedures.
- Coordinate the various inspection programs with other affected departments.
- Recommend improved inspection procedures and methods that which would improve the quality and economic efficiency of maintenance.
- Ensure all quality records, reports and forms are properly executed before approval.
- Accomplish the final release of all parts, assemblies, and the airworthiness of articles on which work has been performed, as required.
- Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the QPM.
- Provide for continuity of inspection, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
- Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
- Perform all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
- Assist the Quality Assurance department in maintaining the production control and quality assurance systems.
- Perform such other work as requested.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years aircraft maintenance/manufacturing experience required.
- Technical knowledge of composite materials and processes used at Diamond.
- Knowledge and experience with the manufacturing of company's products.
- Experience in reading and interpreting drawings.
- Knowledge of Diamonds Production and Quality System.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas and give instructions/guidance to production coworkers.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively.
- High School diploma.
- Knowledge in determining the airworthiness of a product or of inprocess and final inspection of parts and assemblies is a benefit.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- London, ON N5V 1S2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
