Description

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (plexia)
  • Booking outgoing referrals and procedures at the hospital.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
  • Confirming of upcoming appointments
  • Provide support to medical staff and assist with patient care as needed
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the reception area

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical office operations is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably plexia
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes

  • Medical Office receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
