Scope of the Position


The Receptionist plays a crucial role as the front-line representative of Nch'ḵay̓ and is approachable, professional, and possesses exceptional interpersonal abilities.

The Receptionist is accountable for receiving guests, directing phone calls, offering general administrative assistance, and support to others.

The individual must have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, possess strong time management skills, and thrive in a fast-paced work setting.

Duties, Responsibilities, Authority, and Accountabilities:

  • Receiving guests and directing them appropriately;
  • Answering and screening incoming phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls to appropriate persons;
  • Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area, including the reception area, kitchen, and conference rooms;
  • Handling incoming and outgoing mail and packages;
  • Update contact information for the Company Directory;
  • Schedule and coordinate meeting rooms;
  • Coordinate refreshments and catering as required;
  • Manage customer complaints;
  • Organizes and files company documents electronically or other;
  • Provides support to HO Team Members when necessary;
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information;
  • Manage office supplies inventory.

Reporting Responsibilities and Authorities from Supervisor:

  • Reports to the CEO Executive Assistant & Office Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Knowledge

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of basic office equipment such as photocopiers and printers;
  • Familiar with a multiline phone system. Skills
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills;
  • Strong team player with solid communication skills;
  • High levels of integrity and ability to handle confidential information;
  • Ability to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines;
  • Ability to work independently within established guidelines and procedures and as a member of a team;
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities;
  • Strong multitasking;
  • Ability to handle high volume of tasks;
  • Attention to detail and solutionsoriented;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Positive and friendly manner for greeting customers and clients;
  • Strong people skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and senior management to maintain quality;
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Experience:


  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of working experience as a Receptionist or in a customer servicefocused role;
  • Experience working in a highpaced environment;
  • Experience working with First Nations is an asset.

  • Willing to work additional hours as required.

  • Office work (prolong sitting, lifting boxes up to 50 lbs.).

Salary:
From $50,000.00 per year
