The Shipper/Receiver Helper is responsible for helping the main shipper for well-organized, timely and efficient preparation and handling movement of incoming and outgoing and materials in and out of City Bread.

Personal Characteristics

Must be able to skillfully drive and maneuver Reach Truck / fork lift in tight areas
Must able to stand working in freezer condition for a lengthy period of time.
Must have the physical strength and stamina to lift and move goods repeatedly
Possesses good organizational skills
Has a courteous helpful attitude and can work well with others
Can multitask and prioritize

Job Duties

Required to skillfully operate reach truck, forklift, pallet jack and related storage room machinery
Prepare shipping documents
Assemble boxes, trays and pallet, pack goods to be shipped, and attach packing slips
Direct delivery trucks and help drivers unload goods
Inspect and count items that are received, ensuring accuracy
Record shipped and received goods in logbooks
Unpack received goods into appropriate storage areas
Trace lost shipments as needed
Fill out forms for damaged and returned items and route them correctly
Maintain safe working conditions and keep storage room and related areas clean
Maintain cleanliness of storage and freezer areas
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Fluent in English
Fork Lift/reach truck and power jack license is an asset.

Work Conditions

Mostly indoors in freezer, and storage room; some outdoor work required for unloading shipments
Will be required to work on feet for long periods of time
Fast paced work environment, overtime may be required during busy seasons
