    We are currently hiring for a contract I.T Field Service Technician job in Sault Ste Marie, ON. You must have 2-4 years of experience in this role and have a strong knowledge of Windows 7. Experience in Desktop Support, Laptops, Servers, Printers, Hardware Support, and iMac. POS experience is a plus but not required. The ideal candidate would have good communication skills, be customer friendly, and adaptable. Duration: Minimum commitment of 3 months to a max of 6 months, expected start date mid-sept 2023. Hours of Operation: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm Job Responsibilities:
    • Provide continuous maintenance, monitoring, and testing of systems for multiple, geographically dispersed sites as primary or backup support to prevent unnecessary down-time by:-identifying and performing troubleshooting in relation to overall system performance (hardware/software/network)-investigating problem areas and recommending enhancements /improvements-implementing modifications that will support end users-ensuring usage is consistent with Justice Cluster/Ministry/Division/Branch standards and contemporary methods of operation with respect to safety, servicing and contract management.
    • Liaise with third-party hardware, software, and telecommunications vendors for support, repairs, replacement, or modification of systems or services as may be required.
    • Provide or assist in the technical support for existing and emerging in-court technologies such as video conferencing, electronic evidentiary display systems, closed circuit television, digital audio recording by:-performing equipment installation, configuration and testing -and addressing technical troubleshooting for end users.
    • Provide or assist on a best effort basis the technical support for non-standard peripheral devices and software.

    Job Requirements:
    • Requires knowledge of:-various types of computer hardware (i.e. servers, desktops, notebook computers, printers) and peripherals-network topologies and wiring, routers, hubs, local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs)
    • Remote administration tools, software and methods.
    • maintenance operations, testing, diagnostic software, data back-up software and recovery procedures- practices in order to:-perform installation, configuration, and testing of systems to identity malfunctions and take corrective action-analyze, diagnose, and resolve problems in business applications use
    • Investigate and resolve system performance problems -provide troubleshooting and end-user support in use of enterprise and business applications software
    Nice to Have:
    • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or information technologies or 7-10 years equivalent work experience.
    • CompTIA A+ certifications.
    • Cisco or Microsoft certifications.
    Compensation: 30-34/hour
