Majesty Care Community Services (MCCS) is hiring for the position of a casual Child & Youth Care Worker in Edmonton, AB.

This role is in a group home setting providing care to children and youth with complex behavioral needs.

In addition, utilizing best practice guidelines to support individuals, families and community is essential to the care provided at Majesty Care.

Availability Requirements

  • Set hours: 9am 9pm; 9pm
  • 9am; 10pm
  • 10am; 2pm10pm; 3pm9pm; 0130pm9pm.
  • Employee must be available for all shifts; we are not hiring for only night or week day schedules.

Job Requirements; not limited to the list below:

  • Supervise individuals at home and in the community
  • Establish a relationship to guide and support individuals through role modelling, mentorship, and positive reinforcement
  • Perform routine general program responsibilities such as cleaning & organization
  • Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations.
  • Participate in the care team through the ongoing development of care plans and programs
  • Plan and accompany youths to their medical appointments
  • Must be a driver with full class 5 Alberta license; you are not required to own a vehicle, but required to drive.

Education/Experience Requirement:


  • Knowledge of child and youth care mental wellness practices
  • Knowledge of processes and procedures for providing home care
  • Trauma Informed Care practices
  • At least 1 year of work experience with youths in care.
  • Direct experience working with youth with complex behavioral and mental health needs
  • Six (6) months+ of related experience working with youth/children
  • Completion of Degree/Diploma in Human Services field
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Level CPR + AED
  • Police Information Check; including Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 3 months
  • Intervention Record Check within the last 3 months
  • Indigenous Awareness
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer and technology skills
  • Basic food Handler certificate
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Current driver's abstract

Job Types:

Salary:
$18.50-$21.00 per hour
