VWCA Little Steps childcare is a play based, child centered program with up to 16 children in children ages 30 months - 5 years old.

Our educators are well supported with additional team members beyond the require ratios.

We run out of a small Community Centre in Vic West, located in beautiful Banfield Park along the Gorge Waterway with playgrounds, multiple walking trails, an on-site community garden and seemingly unlimited forest space.

We explore and play outside for a few hours each day in all kinds of weather, rain or shine.

Wage is $27.10 to $28.15 per hour (including $4 WE which will increase to $6 in January making the wage $ $30.15, based on experience) + 4% vacation pay.

Extended Health Benefits are available for fulltime staff after a 3 month probationary period.

Qualifications:

Early Childhood Education diploma, current BC ECE Registry certification, First Aid/CPR (must have):

Minimum of 1 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare setting
Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices and positive behavior guidance.
Ability to independently create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for young children
Excellent communication skills with both children and adults
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
