Human Resources Advisor - Newmarket, Canada - Norseman

Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to managers and team members at the Newmarket location.
The incumbent will be the primary recruiter for Newmarket and assist in recruitment for various locations, while ensuring our company values and culture are at the forefront.
The primary responsibility for this position is to support ongoing HR initiatives, employee development and full cycle recruitment. This position would also be a strategic partner with the onsite supervisors.Job Duties
Full cycle recruitment
- Create and post jobs relevant websites for various
- Set up interviews and conduct reference checks
- Coordinate temporary staffing
- Complete HR onboarding processes including review of new hire paperwork
- Conduct employee exit interviews
- Assist in recruitment for other locations when required
HR Initiatives
- Participate in employee engagement surveys
- Deliver training and support in the creating of training programs
- Support leadership through performance management
- Participate in and support HR related projects
HR Business Partner Support
- Be first point of contact for inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs related to benefits
- Participate in employee performance management and investigations
- Support employees on the use of software tools such as Vista and Confluence
- Ensure employee time entries are submitted in a timely manner
- Organize and assist with organizing local employee functions
- Draft documents including employment verification letters and compensation change
- Support joint health and safety committee
- Review and update incident and WSIB claims
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3+ years' of progressively responsible experience HR and processing fullcycle recruitment
- Degree or certificate in Human Resources
- CPHR or working towards is required
- Maintain knowledge of relevant employment laws and related regulations.
- Experience facilitating conversations and investigations
- Understanding of Employment Standards
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office required
- Ability to multitask, attention to detail and strong sense of urgency
- Experience
- Exposure to various HRIS systems is required
Work Conditions
- Office setting, Monday through Friday days, 8 hours per day
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Work in a highly sensitive, deadline driven, confidential and dynamic work environment
