Responsibilities

Must be able to work closely with the Project Manager, clients, consultants, subcontractors and inspectors to prepare and execute project plans
Help to ensure project maintains schedule and budget with the proper utilization of resources and subcontractors
Will be using the project drawings and specifications to maintain pace of the job and ensure that it is being completed as required
Must be able to supervise and lead a crew and subcontractors
Ensure work carried out on site is completed to the highest level of quality in an efficient manner
Advise management of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving such conflicts
Maintain a safe work environment with knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Construction Regulations) and Mortlock's health and safety requirements
Must ensure that daily logs and inspections are completed in a timely manner

Skills

Experienced carpenter with 5+ years of experience in industrial, commercial and institutional construction
Experience running projects with value up to $5,000, $8,000,000.00
Must be moderately skilled with computers and technology
Good work ethic, team player who can work well in a group or independently
Ability to organize and delegate
Ability to work in a fastpaced, high pressure environment
Must have a valid G-License

Salary:
$21.78-$35.83 per hour
