Job Summary:
FluidAI is looking for an R&D Manager, reporting to the Director of Research, to join our R&D team for an exciting new project.
You will be a key member who will lead a new R&D project that aims to transform the space of patient management in critical care settings.
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
- Contribute to building a novel technology that can shape the next generation of critical care patient management.
- Work together with senior management to build out technical project team.
- Act as a technical leader for a cross-disciplinary team.
- Independently design, execute and analyze data.
- Find creative and innovative ways to solve R&D challenges.
- Deliver regular project updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure that project timelines and objectives are being met.
This is an _office-first_ role working out of our Kitchener HQ in the Medical Innovation Xchange.
Qualifications:
- Advanced (Master's or PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nanotechnology Engineering, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of industry experience in the development of POC diagnostics/IVDs/blood gas analyzers.
- Experience in endtoend product development (bringing technology through key points such as conception, verification, manufacturing, etc.) as a technical leader.
- Experience in a earlystage startup or related environment (fastpaced, highgrowth, innovative, etc.).
- Skilled in managing relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Experience in building and managing crossfunctional, highperforming teams.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with regulated environments such as ISO13485:2016 or 11 CFR 820.
- Experience with hardware/firmware development.
- Experience with mechanical design
