Assembly Fitter (weekend nightshift) - contract temporary position for 4 weeks with a possibility to extend

CMP Group Ltd., a leading provider of Marine Products, Construction, and Industrial solutions is seeking an Assembly Fitter with grinding experience to join Delta, British Columbia location/team on a full-time permanent basis.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembly Fitter will be responsible for the build and packaging of various assemblies including CMX/CMR series assemblies.

The assembly fitter's primary job along, with these assemblies, is grinding, tapping, drilling, trimming, washing, and packaging.

Pay
- $ 21.57 per hour

Responsibilities:

Follow all the safety policies of the company, safe working procedures, emergency procedures and accident and safety reporting procedures
Safely, efficiently, and effectively build, test, package and label assemblies
Packaging and labelling of product
Lifting up to 2040 pounds
Managing the organization of inventory systems and the corresponding cycle counts
Maintains, cleans, and organizes the work areas
Perform general clean up.
Assist in internal or external audits
Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements:

13 years of mechanical assembly experience
13 years of grinding experience
12 years of experience in a fastpaced manufacturing environment
Comfortable working in a laborintensive environment, standing for most of the day and performing repetitive tasks
Comfortable lifting up to pounds
Ability to follow process and visual aids
Adaptable, flexible and available to work different shifts (rotational shift
Day Shift, Afternoon Shift, or Graveyard) based on the needs of the business
Ability to follow process and visual aids
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Willingness to take any additional training/courses as required
Occupational First Aid Attendant certified or willingness to do so
Completed Grade 12 or equivalent
Good dexterity
Available for overtime (Asset)
Valid Forklift Operators license (Asset)

Hours

Weekend shift:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 6 pm 6:30 am
