As a Financial Analyst reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • In-depth analysis and reconciliation of large data sets; building financial models with enhanced controls to support and drive business operations (50%)
  • Daily accounting tasks and monthly/quarterly financial reporting (40%)
  • Financerelated projects, working with Technology and other key stakeholders to optimize and improve internal processes (10%)

You will also be required to:

  • Present analyses and monthly/quarterly reporting to Senior Management
  • Dig into the details, connect the dots and make recommendations to streamline and improve existing processes
  • Work closely with Technology to ensure data is consistent and accurate for financial reporting
  • Propose and implement quality control and risk mitigation strategies
  • Escalate and resolve issues with banking partners and thirdparty suppliers
  • Build dashboards displaying relevant financial information, company trends and KPIs
  • Lead projects and initiatives to support the company's growth and expansion into other verticals
  • Map out processes and gather functional specifications for financerelated projects

Qualifications

Required experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1+ years of relevant work experience
  • Advanced technical and financial modelling skills, 9/10 in Excel required
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Strong oral and written English skills
  • Problemsolver, analytical and forwardthinking
  • Likes challenges; selfdriven and passionate about Fintech

Additional qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Fintech industry; strong asset
  • Experience working with payment schemes including Mastercard, Visa etc.
  • Experience working with or implementing task management tools such as JIRA
  • Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks
