Overview:


Support the St-Constant plant in the administrative tasks of the plant and the site by bringing rigor and organization to the activities of the various departments.

Carry out routine accounting tasks, various data entry and analysis, manage the hourly payroll and employee files, and carry out and follow up on the purchasing and supply process.


Responsibilities:


Safety:

  • Make health and safety a daily priority. Promotes and provides leadership in health and safety.
  • Responsible for performing all health and safety related duties contained in his/her job.

Finance:

  • Performs accounts payable duties as required.
  • Act as a credit card agent.
  • Create purchase orders, PO tracking and process invoices/cash receipts.
  • Verify that merchandise or services match orders.
  • Prepare various monthly reports (monthend documents such as budgetary provision and journal entry, etc.).
  • Tracking of materials used (balance, receipt, invoice, etc.) Followup on certain costs such as rentals, consumables, etc.
  • Collaborate in the month and yearend closing exercise. Cost analysis and development of efficient followup tools.

Administration:

  • Collaborate with various departments, such as HR, finance, procurement and projects.
  • Handle mail (external and internal).
  • Responsible for office equipment and supplies, ensuring proper functioning of equipment and communicating with suppliers as needed.
  • Assist suppliers with Avetta updates (OHS database).
  • Followup and maintain the various service contracts (uniforms for employees, janitorial services, telephones, communication radios, site security system, etc.).
  • Manage documents (classify, file, circulate and store) related to production. Maintain uptodate data for various reports, dashboards and schedules.

Relationship with other positions:


  • Position reporting to the accounting coordinator
  • Collaborates with site supervisory team and corporate functions (HR, OHS, Finance, ABS, etc.,).

  • PO creation, accounts payables and month end financials

Qualifications:

  • Academic background and work experience:_
  • College diploma in a relevant discipline and three years of work experience.
  • Administrative and accounting experience in an industrial production environment desirable.
  • Mastery of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and Skills:_
  • Proven skills in secretarial, administrative, office management and accounting.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Very good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of financial resource management software systems (ERP). (Knowledge of SAP is a major asset)
  • Expertise in prioritizing and processing multiple requests.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) both orally and in writing.
