Production Control Manager
Reporting to the Director, Global Production Control & Materials, the Production Control Manager will be responsible to manage and lead all Canadian and USA manufacturing production planning methods and operations to ensure valid and accurate Master Production Schedules, and Supply Planning of China manufactured products, to meet customer demand, combined with service and inventory level objectives, & within production requirements and constraints.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Lead strategic departmental master scheduling activities & manage execution of all North American manufacturing operations to ensure the best customer service levels, whilst combining inventory level management and production requirements & constraints.
- Manage short
- Lead all planning activities for North American manufacturing fabrication, subassembly, and Studio production for effective & efficient support of Master Schedules
- Ensure effective & frequent departmental communication with Production Operations, Material Planning, Demand Planning, Sales, and Marketing departments to create effective plans and schedules whilst developing exceptional interdepartmental relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate Production Control Management reporting is created and completed in line with departmental and company requirements to present to Management and Executive level as required
- Manage saleable unit backorders to customer satisfaction requirements, and lead root cause investigations as required and corrective action implementation teams as necessary.
- Manage creation & execution of build out plans and transfers as required
- Lead all departmental training and development activities as required to ensure departmental operational efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Assist in future strategic planning in conjunction with the Department Director.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Education:
University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration is preferred, or 7-10 years relevant work experience.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Minimum 7 years' experience in a Production Scheduling/Planning role
Certifications Required:
CPIM designation or working towards is considered an asset
Computer Software Requirement:
Advanced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook); Extensive knowledge of Tier 1 MRP/ERP is required
Specialized Skills:
Proven ability to coach, facilitate, problem solve, Team player, and a situational leader. Ability to be decisive, lead by example and take initiative without requiring supervision.
