Lakeside Catering Services is a company committed to building an enjoyable and supportive work environment for our kitchen staff teams. Lakeside provides excellent food service to children's summer camps throughout Central Ontario. We provide food and housing for our staff. Lakeside serves food for people at multiple remote locations each summer.
Lakeside Catering Services offers a seasonal opportunity to enjoy working among nature while refining your food preparation skills.
We offer a variety of contracts between May and September depending on location. Most contracts run from June till August.

Location Details
Please Note these locations are out of the city and some are very remote. The positions require you to live on site for the entire duration of your contract. Room and board are provided.
Special Diet Cook is a role that requires great cooking skills and knowledge. You will work independently. You need to be comfortable without receiving direction, yet still be able to receive and integrate direction when given to you. You need a strong knowledge of Gluten free , Dairy free, vegetarian and vegan diets and a strong understanding of how to prepare food for people with a wide variety of food allergies. An understanding of cross contamination is essential to the job as the diligent implementation of strict measures to avoid cross contamination are both essential to the success of the job.
Responsibilities
Prepare Gluten free, Dairy free, Vegetarian, Vegan, and other meal alternatives
Prevent cross contamination during preparation and cooking
Managing special diet resources
Ensure special diet alternatives are all available and ready on time
Prep, cook, and serve
Requirements
Is willing to relocate for the duration of their contract
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook or relevant schooling
Great cooking skills and knowledge
Comfortable working independently
Great at receiving and adapting to direction when needed
Strong knowledge of Gluten free , Dairy free, vegetarian, vegan diets, and food allergies
Quality work ethic
Compensation:
$900 - $1000 per week ($840 - $940/week + $60/week bonus upon completion of contract).
