This position is integral to the success of the
Business Solutions team, and to CAAT's guiding mission and growth strategy.

The Team Lead, Business Solution will be responsible for managing a team of Business Solutions Analysts, responsible for coaching, mentoring, performance management and managing team development opportunities.

They will also provide leadership, day to day oversight, and manage workloads and deliverables.

They will work alongside the Leads, Business Solutions to prioritize initiatives, mitigate risks / issues, and escalate based on discretion.

The individual must have a team driven approach with a commitment to working collaboratively with internal partners.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Minimum of a College diploma with five or more years of progressive business analysis experience required preferably within pension administration (MEPP/Public Sector Pension Plan).
  • Experience with outsourcing service providers also highly desired.
  • Minimum three (3) years of Leadership experience.
  • Designations in the following areas would be highly desirable: Pension (ex. PPAC, CEBS), Project Management. (ex. PMP), Business Analysis (ex.
CBAP, PBA), Agile/Scrum Certified (ex. PMI-ACP, AgilePM,CPO)

  • Experience in Agile development framework will be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with development tools/software/coding. (e.g. Azure, JIRA, ServiceNow, SQL) is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet and other collaboration tools.
  • Attention to detail as well as mathematical aptitude, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience writing business requirements and the ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders.

Once here you will:


  • Act as the liaison between business units and serve as the conduit between the business and the software development team to ensure the coordination of timelines, resource allocations and handling daytoday team issues.
  • Manage multiple ongoing initiatives with a high degree of organization, tracking team activities, and adapting to changing priorities and requests.
  • Triage system / process requests to ensure they go to the proper business analyst lead for intake while providing insight / analysis, making determinations of ROI and costbenefit analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Leads, Business Solutions to assign project resources, track schedules, and report project status. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to analyze information needs / functional requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the team to define business requirements for the development cycle.
  • Regularly review project status and workloads of Business Solutions Analysts to identify and resolve potential project risks and roadblocks. Develop Business Solution Analysts aptitude / provide guidance and a path through their career.
  • Identify process challenges, implement corrective actions to prevent their recurrence, and report overall project status and risks to the Manager, Business Solutions.
