Description
Our organization is seeking a Clinical Educator/ Practice Lead to educate and support nursing practice of staff nurses, PSW's, and other clinical personnel on the latest practices and standards in resident care, LTC Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act


Responsibilities:


  • Design and continuously improve and adapt curriculum depending on educational needs
  • Teach courses and provide training to registered and unregulated staff
  • Develop lesson plans
  • Incorporate evidencebased research into educational plans, resident treatment plans, and nursing practices
  • Serve as a mentor to nurses, and identify growth opportunities and educational needs for practicing nurses
  • Promote critical thinking among nurses, and show commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends in area of expertise
  • Support resident care in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by Elm Grove Living Centre
Qualifications for Nurse Educator

  • RN or RPN
  • Must possess current valid license in the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • 12 years experience working as a registered nurse in a clinical setting
  • Must possess valid basic life support (BLS) certification
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 months
