Job Details:

  • Fulltime permanent position
  • Remote work with weekly presence at the office in downtown Montreal

THE ROLE

  • Assist Management in identifying and building a culture that represents Intercash's values and passion; lead the development of a workplace culture that is strong and present in a remote working environment with employees working across Canada and in other continents/timezone
  • Act as a consultant in matters of Human Resources; help Management plan and execute a People strategy that fosters a healthy and balanced working culture
  • Act as a resource for employees in all areas of HR including employmentrelated requests, compensation, government benefits, immigration, insurance, etc.
  • Own companywide communication to all business units in English; ensure the necessary efforts are put towards communicating news about the company and connecting employees given that the company operates remotely
  • Act as an HR Business Partner to mid and seniorlevel leaders across the organization, giving them guidance and tools that encourage optimal resource management and employee engagement in their departments
  • Work with Marketing to promote our cultural pride and employer benefits within the job market and fintech community, giving Intercash the ability to attract top talent to support the company's rapid growth
  • Implement and support Management in performance management and career development programs
  • Recruitment (complete cycle) of new employees companywide
  • General HR Administration ie, employment contracts, maintaining employee records, managing HR system (BambooHR), government filings, reporting, ad hoc requests from management, HR projects etc.
  • Onboarding and offboarding employees
  • Handling disciplinary issues and terminations
  • Biweekly payroll (partially outsourced) under the supervision of the Finance Manager
  • Implement and oversee training, coaching and mentorship programs
  • Review existing HR policies, create new policies where necessary and ensure the company meets government labour standards at all times
  • Manage the company office located in downtown Montreal
  • Plan corporate events and initiatives that unify business units internationally
  • Manage one HR Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 2 years experience managing an entire HR function, ideally in a smaller organization
  • Experience building structure in HR and having implemented new programs, policies and procedures
  • Based in the Montreal area
  • CRHA designation, strong asset
  • Strong communication skills in English; French is an asset
  • Passionate about people and creating great workplace cultures
  • Comfortable with decisionmaking, able to think strategically and creatively
  • Must be a selfstarter and likes to work autonomously
