As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a highly organized and proactive IT Support Assistant to join our Operations team.
The IT Support Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of information technology support related duties such as monitoring, coordinating and assisting others in the operation of computer hardware, software and utilizing diagnostic methods to maintain the systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance in the use of employees' computer hardware, software, and specialized mainframe technology.
- Set up and configure desktop computers, peripherals and accounts whilst analyzing internal and external security needs.
- Install software and repair hardware and peripherals.
- Test programs: troubleshoot, diagnose hardware vs software problems.
- Implement corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalate to other technical resources as appropriate.
- Maintain systems, servers, databases, and web page and administer user accounts.
- Design and produce basic report and transfer computer files between platforms.
- Document and maintain processes for security testing and training.
Must have:
- One or more years of related experience with computers, Microsoft administration, wireless network, and softwaredefined networks.
- Experience with deployment of security on a variety of platforms
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
- Ability to research and provide analysis of maintenance and security.
- An understanding of operation systems, infrastructure security components and best practices.
- A working style that is rooted in ownership, passion, teamwork, innovation, and collaboration.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with deployment of Mobile Device Management on a variety of platforms.
- Experience with Azure and AWS.
- Database knowledge, particularly in Oracle and SQL.
- Expertise in database backups.
- Familiarity with network structure and network security.
- Experience with cybersecurity policies and testing procedures.
- Experience in managing security updates and patches.
- Knowledge of phishing prevention measures.
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
