Job Title:
Low Voltage Data Technician
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Data Technician to join our growing team.
As a Low Voltage Data Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining various low voltage data systems, including structured cabling, network devices, security systems, audio-visual systems, and other related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install and terminate low voltage data cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other types of cables.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot various network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Install and configure security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Install and configure audiovisual systems, including projectors, speakers, microphones, and other related equipment.
- Test and certify low voltage data systems to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for low voltage data systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and other related activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in low voltage data system installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of low voltage data cabling standards and protocols, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic.
- Strong knowledge of network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Strong knowledge of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong knowledge of audiovisual systems, including projectors, speakers, microphones, and other related equipment.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Types:

Salary:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greater Vancouver Regional District, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
