Team Profile:


The Cyber, Data, Risk and Resilience (CDRR) organization within Technology at Morgan Stanley, provides first-line defenses for information and cyber security, fraud, resilience, response and recovery, and technology risk and controls.

The organization also includes Morgan Stanley's Firmwide Data Office, International Technology offices, and the Non-Financial Risk Technology organization.

The combination of these groups, in close partnership with the business and technology teams, enhance the resilience of the Firm, address the complex and continuously evolving threat environment, drive compliance with policy and regulatory requirements, and ensure data governance, quality and security.


Position Description:


The Firm Resilience Function owns the identification and resilience for the Firm's key business services and coordinates operational resilience efforts across the Firm.

Firm Resilience works with Legal and Compliance to interpret regulatory guidance on operational resilience and is responsible for advising Business Units on standards and implementation.

The function also works with Regulatory Relations and the Business Units to review and respond to regulatory requests and prepare for regulatory exams touching on operational resilience.


  • As a member of our team, you will be in a unique position to interact with people and teams globally across different businesses and functions, working on topics that have a direct impact on the operational stability of the Firm.

Core Responsibilities:
Support the operation of the Firm Resilience Function including:

  • Support the development and maintenance of Firm Resilience framework, including policies, procedures and program plans
  • Develop materials for regular and adhoc meetings with Firm Resilience and other relevant stakeholders, including Working Group and Committee meetings
  • Prepare meeting minutes (key discussion topics, decision and action items) and track status of action items following the meeting
  • Analyze and organize large sets of data in a manner that supports analysis of operational resilience
  • Maintain sufficient understanding of Firm Resilience strategy to recognize opportunities for continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5 years of experience in reporting and analysis or related functions at large financial institutions or similarly regulated industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to clearly and concisely communicate with internal and external partners crossdivisionally
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, crossfunctional and administrative skills
  • Commitment to delivery of highest quality work product
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Excellent team player who is proactive, positive, selfmotivated and goaloriented
  • Excellent teamwork skills, capable of working effectively across a variety of IT, operations and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all management levels

Desired Skills:

  • General understanding of business continuity management and disaster recovery management and risk management concepts
  • General understanding of technology infrastructure (compute, storage, database, network, data centers, security, etc.) and cybersecurity concepts
  • Experience in managing committees (e.g. planning, meeting minutes and tracking tasks)
