Description

The Cashier/Clerk will be responsible for providing information, assistance and customer service in a manner that will promote the sale of merchandise and meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.

Come to work with a positive and professional approach and attitude
Be dependable for all scheduled shifts
Maintain a good understanding of till operation and provide a neat, clean and wellmerchandised frontend at all times
Operate the point of sale ("
POS") terminal as required and to the expected standard
Prepare cash reconciliations as required
Provide information, assistance and customer service in a manner that will promote the sale of merchandise and meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations
Ensure the "Care Commitment" Program is followed
Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties
Ensure a neat, clean and wellmerchandised department
Stock shelves and display merchandise as directed by Management
Receive merchandise as directed
Adhere to all Dawson Cooperative Union policies and procedures
Adhere to all Dawson Cooperative Union health and safety standards
Plan for selfdevelopment and take initiative to improve own knowledge, skills and abilities
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Willing to learn
Experience working in sales or customer service is an asset
Reliable and responsible
Excellent customer service
Ability to be friendly and outgoing
Emerging ability to manage relationships at all levels
Accuracy and attention to detail
