Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, career orientated individual to work out of our Guelph facility as a Planned Maintenance Technician (Apprentice), repairing and installing Overhead Doors, Loading Docks, Access Control Systems and more Specializing in Planned Maintenance inspections and repairs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned maintenance inspections and repairs
- Including but not limited to operating equipment, tools, trailers, and pickup trucks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment following specifications from the original equipment manufacturer
- Actively participate in safety/toolbox meetings
- Follow safe work and good housekeeping practices
- Completion of all forms and paperwork in a timely and appropriate fashion
- Understand and comply with company policies/procedures, health and safety policies/procedures and regulations
- Work alongside our Field Service Technicians installing and troubleshooting various equipment
- Constantly improve on product knowledge to better service our Customer
Skills/Experience:
- Strong attention to detail
- Valid "G" driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
- Mechanically inclined with a knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong commitment to safety
Working Conditions:
- Required to work in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of lifting 60lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet, and climbing ladders up to 20 feet
- Work "on call" as required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$17.00-$25.00 per hour
