Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, career orientated individual to work out of our Guelph facility as a Planned Maintenance Technician (Apprentice), repairing and installing Overhead Doors, Loading Docks, Access Control Systems and more Specializing in Planned Maintenance inspections and repairs.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct planned maintenance inspections and repairs
  • Including but not limited to operating equipment, tools, trailers, and pickup trucks
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and equipment following specifications from the original equipment manufacturer
  • Actively participate in safety/toolbox meetings
  • Follow safe work and good housekeeping practices
  • Completion of all forms and paperwork in a timely and appropriate fashion
  • Understand and comply with company policies/procedures, health and safety policies/procedures and regulations
  • Work alongside our Field Service Technicians installing and troubleshooting various equipment
  • Constantly improve on product knowledge to better service our Customer

Skills/Experience:


  • Strong attention to detail
  • Valid "G" driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
  • Mechanically inclined with a knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Strong commitment to safety

Working Conditions:


  • Required to work in all weather conditions
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting 60lbs repeatedly
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet, and climbing ladders up to 20 feet
  • Work "on call" as required

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.00-$25.00 per hour
