Financial Reporting Specialist

Job Description:

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and timely month-end financial reporting for our organization.

You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and providing insights into the company's financial performance.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

Month-

End Schedules:

Develop and maintain month-end closing schedules to ensure all financial activities are completed on time and in accordance with established deadlines.

Month-

End Accruals:

Prepare and review month-end accruals to accurately reflect expenses and revenues for the period, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Month-

End Journal Entries:

Record and review month-end journal entries to properly reflect transactions and adjustments in the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Month-

End Balance Sheet Reconciliations:

Perform thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts at month-end to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring the integrity of financial statements.

Month-

End Consolidation of 20 Entities: Coordinate and oversee the consolidation process for financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.

Financial Analysis: Assist in financial analysis and variance explanations to support management decisionmaking and provide insights into financial performance.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in monthend close procedures, streamline processes, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal controls related to financial reporting.
Cross-

Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Accounting, Finance, and Operations to gather necessary information and resolve any discrepancies during the month-end close process.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting, monthend close processes, and consolidation.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
