We are looking for a Data Annotation Lead to join our dynamic Annotation Team.In this critical role, you will own medical image annotation workflows and quality, ensuring accurate ground truth data to support AI-driven medical imaging research and clinical validation.
This role is preferably based either remotely within the U.S. or in a hybrid capacity in Vancouver to support seamless collaboration with our on-site teams.Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people's lives
What You'll Do
Serve as a medical and annotation subject matter lead, ensuring high-quality annotation of MRI and other radiological images across anatomical structures, tissues, organs, and pathologies.
Own annotation workflows and execution tracking in Jira to ensure progress visibility across contributors.
Partner closely with radiologists, medical experts, AI/ML engineers, and operations teams to align on annotation scope, timelines, and quality expectations, proactively surfacing risks or bottlenecks that could affect annotation delivery.
Develop, maintain, and enforce annotation standards, guidelines, training materials, and documentation to ensure consistent ground truth data at scale.Track and report annotation progress, QC outcomes, and dataset readiness to improve annotation quality and throughput.
Establish and manage quality control and quality assurance processes aligned with best practices for radiology image annotation in AI applications.
Collaborate with regulatory and clinical teams to support clinical validation efforts, including FDA submissions and other regulatory requirements.What You'll Bring
Medical Doctor (MD) degree preferred; alternatively, a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a relevant field with strong demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and radiological imaging.
Proven experience annotating and interpreting MRI images using specialized medical image annotation tools.
Experience coordinating annotation work across multiple contributors or teams in fast-moving environments.
Strong working knowledge of Jira (or similar project management tools) used to manage annotation workflows and execution.
Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to balance clinical accuracy with execution and delivery.
Clear, confident communicator able to align radiologists, researchers, and operational partners.
Prior experience in radiology, medical imaging, healthcare, or AI-driven annotation environments is highly desirable.

The base salary for this role ranges from $83,000-$93,000 CAD, depending upon experience and geographic location
