The Opportunity:


The Analyst, Financial Planning & Analytics will work with the team to support company leadership on a wide range of strategic and organizational projects.

This role is a challenging, high-paced role and will require the highest levels of analytical, communication, and project management skills with a deep commitment to seeking the best outcomes for BentallGreenOak's clients and employees.


What You Will Do:


  • Act as a key team member in the preparation of strategic and financial insights including, but not limited to, annual budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and other ad hoc financial analysis
  • Trusted to produce meaningful analysis and practical recommendations that are actionable
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models (both ad hoc and recurring)
  • Manage and analyze large data sets from various internal sources
  • Contribute to a wide range of special projects, primarily in a financial analysis capacity, on behalf of senior leadership. Projects managed may relate to M&A activity, corporate strategy, operations, corporate marketing or a range of other topics
  • Conduct research, complete quantitative analysis, and develop communications materials for senior management and other senior stakeholders
  • Liaise and build trusted relationships with functional teams from across the firm (transactions, asset management, property operations, etc.) while completing various tasks and projects
  • Develop a high level of expertise in the investment management industry
  • Maintain and prepare Assets Under Management reporting and other periodic reporting as required
  • Embrace and proactively support BentallGreenOak's culture of environmental sustainability, and corporate and social responsibility

Who You Are:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce or equivalent, plus a professional designation strongly preferred (CPA, CFA and/or MBA)

Experience: A strong track record of success with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a top tier management consulting firm, investment bank, accounting firm or similar environment. Previous experience in financial planning and analysis or exposure to the financial services sector preferred

Excel and Financial Modeling Skills
  • Advanced expertise in Excel required, and the ability to build dynamic financial models preferred

PowerPoint Skills

  • Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations for senior management and investors

Analytical and Strong Attention to Detail
  • Quick learner with exceptional analytic and problemsolving skills combined with a strong attention to detail; filtering information based on priority, relevance & other critical factors

Organizational/Multi-Tasking Skills

  • Ability to allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and maintain accuracy of work; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities; ability to adapt to new ideas and constant changes

  • Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain strong working relationships with senior business leaders; ability to exercise strict confidentiality
