The People and Culture Advisor (PCA) plays a key role in supporting AFSC's most important asset; our people. You are the trusted advisor and partner for our leaders.

The PCA is responsible for providing strategic HR and people management support, advice and consultative services in partnership with leaders and employees enabling informed decisions and in alignment with AFSC's objectives.

Reporting to the Manager, People, Culture and Learning, this position provides expertise to all levels of staff in the areas of, but not limited to, talent acquisition and management, employee relations, employee engagement, organizational design & development, coaching, workforce planning, and performance management.

The PCA will be responsible for staying apprised on HR best practices in support and alignment of AFSC's strategic objectives.

It is the responsibility of the PCA to forecast HR trends in their respective area and proactively find solutions and/or develop strategies in support of the goals and priorities of AFSC.

What will you be responsible for?

  • The Advisor is responsible for supporting a portfolio of business partners in all areas of Talent Management, including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
  • The Advisor will also support their business partners in various strategic programs such as capacity planning and succession planning.
  • The Advisor also supports the Manager, People, Culture & Learning with the design and implementation of human resources programs, policies and procedures.

  • A strong Human Resources Generalist background
  • Solid technical knowledge of Human Resources related issues
  • A demonstrated high proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or a related field
  • Three (3) years related human resources experience
  • Human resources certification (CPHR) is considered an asset.
