POLYVALENT SPECIALIZED LABOURER

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Deception Bay port facilities and working in an environment that is always in action, you will be involved in the daily tasks of the Raglan Mine port facilities.


Your main duties will be:

  • Monitor and optimize the automated loading of concentrate.
  • Coordinate the loading of concentrate to the vessel by working with various computer equipment related to MMI operations.
  • Communicate with the collaborators via radio communication, sometimes on several channels simultaneously.
  • Create and review operating documentation (work procedures, training materials, records).
  • Perform dock maneuvers.
  • Perform daily inspections of port facilities.
  • Operate light mobile equipment to perform various tasks related to snow removal and parts handling (example: small wheel loader).
  • Perform manual work: snow removal, site cleanup, material handling.

Your profile:

  • Holder of a Secondary School Diploma or a Diploma of Vocational Studies.
  • Experience in MMI operation required (concentrate loading control room).
  • Experience in operating light mobile equipment required.
  • Selfstarter, problem solver and enjoys teamwork.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Bilingualism (asset).

What we offer:

  • Work shifts of 11 hours per day.
  • Flexible rotation schedule established according to operational needs and
    equivalent to 50/50: equivalent to 3 consecutive weeks of work followed by 2 weeks of leave; and 2 consecutive weeks of work followed by 3 weeks of leave.
  • Private air transport is provided from Montreal, Quebec, Rouyn-Noranda, Mont-Joli or Inuit communities (depending on place of residence) to the mine site and return.
