    The Role

    Onondaga Camp is looking for canoe trip leaders to lead 3, 4 and 7 day flatwater canoe trips in Algonquin Park and The Leslie Frost Centre. The canoe trippers are responsible for packing food, equipment and 1st aid supplies and lead groups of 7 campers along with a counselling staff. Canoe trippers lead roughly 6 trips per summer.

    Applicants should have:

  • Minimum of (or able to obtain) a bronze cross swimming certification. NL is an asset.
  • Previous experience leading or co-leading flat water canoe trips.
  • Responsibility and decision making skills.
  • ORCKA trip levels are an asset as is Wilderness First Aid training.

    Since 1918, Onondaga Camp has been an overnight camp for children ages 6-16 near Minden, Ontario, offering an inclusive environment for kids to play, explore, achieve, and grow.
