Full-time Cashier/ Poke Chef - Montréal, Canada - Poké Zen

Poké Zen is a growing Asian fusion restaurant serving Japanese and Hawaiian-style Poké bowls and other Asian cuisine delights. Our restaurant is partnered with Presotea, offering various quality Taiwanese bubble tea and other handcrafted drinks. We are looking for a full-time, permanent Cashier/Poké Chef to join our team.


Requirements:

• Bilingual: English and French
• Minimum 1 year of similar experience
• Great communication skills and an excellent team player.
• Fast learner
• Attentive to details
• Responsible
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fastpaced environment

The poké chefs will work in a team setting to take orders, prepare food, make poké bowls, set up, and follow our cleaning and sanitary guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Poké Zen's daily prep list
• Take orders using a POS cash system
• Packing takeout and delivery orders and help out the bubble tea section as needed
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing dishes, cleaning equipments, or chopping vegetables
• Undertake basic cooking duties such as making sauce, searing fishes, cooking seasoned rice and prepare fried items
• Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees
• Maintain the store cleaness by washing dishes, taking out trash, putting away supplies, etc.
• Ensure food safety by following instructed procedures, recipes for special orders, packing orders for delivery and takeout orders
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Salary:
Starting from 15.25$ + tips, depending on experience.
