Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate full cycle recruitment and selection processes using the prescribed HRIS system.
  • Create job postings and job descriptions.
  • Schedule multiple interviews and meetings with hiring managers and selection committee from different departments.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding of new employees.
  • Assist with new hire orientation as required.
  • Build relationships with First Nation people and organizations to ensure the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is recognized and represented.
  • Participate in career fairs in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognized postsecondary institution. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in a human resource environment performing full cycle recruitment and other human resource functions.
  • Strong sourcing skills and the ability to head hunt is considered an asset.
  • Experience using a HRIS system; experience using BambooHR considered an asset.
  • Experience working in Human Resources with First Nations or First Nations organizations in Manitoba or other regions.
  • Knowledge of traditional First Nation philosophy and contemporary practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and/or other First Nation organizations in Manitoba.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
