What you will be doing:


  • Provide support to Field Operations, NOC and various Engineering teams for issue resolution and assist the teams during emergency recovery of Critical network issues.
  • Perform end to end investigation of faults/cause related to system/network issues
  • Investigate to resolve 4G/5G Core signalling & support issues, contribute to work around and resolution, collaborate with Vendors and Engineering to identify and rectify the root cause of network issues.
  • Own Problem Management process for unresolved network issues and work directly with vendors and external groups to formulate solutions to technical issues.
  • Operationalize Emerging Technologies and contribute to the creation of process and procedures/troubleshooting documentation for emerging Wireless Access technologies like Cloud RAN, 5G NR, IoT etc.
  • Provide Guidelines, best practices documentation, dispatch guidelines and liaise with Technology/Engineering/vendors for recommendations and technical guidelines.
  • Assist with the automation of preventive and corrective routines/procedures for RAN network.
  • Assist the Field Operations groups based on industry/vendor best practices for Operation & Maintenance of 5G NR, LTE, UMTS/HSPA and GSM platforms.
  • Responsible for handling escalations and able to work after hours as required.
  • Some traveling will be required

What you have:


  • Three to five years of experience in the telecommunications industry with at least three years of field experience on LTE, UMTS/HSPA and GSM Radio Access Networks.
  • Handson experience and knowledge of Ericsson AXE/CPP platforms, Ericsson Evo RNC, BSC, gNodeB, eNodeB, NodeB and GSM RBS is required.
  • Good understanding of 3GPP specifications and RAN protocols, ability to perform in depth protocol analysis and troubleshoot problems on 5G NR, LTE, UMTS and GSM interfaces.
  • Knowledge of 5G NR, LTE, UMTS/HSPA and GSM KPIs, counters, definitions of optimization parameters and their impact on network performance.
  • Good understanding of Small cell and C-RAN architecture, 5G NR architecture and radio propagation principles (High/Low bands, mmWave).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Business Suite of tools, Ericsson MoShell Scripting, Scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Python) for automation.
  • Knowledge of cloudbased infrastructure (Compute, VMware NSX & Networking), software orchestration & automation
  • Solid understanding of the OSI and TCP/IP model
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • University Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with mínimal supervision
  • Availability to work offhours and on a rotating oncall schedule.
