    About the Team

    The Payment Operations Specialist is responsible for executing and monitoring the daily flow of payments, ensuring that transactions move smoothly between end‑user accounts, Flinks systems, and external financial institutions. This role owns the day‑to‑day movement of money for Flinks products—processing payments, reconciling accounts, clearing exceptions (such as failed debits or reversals), and coordinating with banking partners and internal teams. The Specialist also analyzes transaction data to optimize pricing and acts as a strategic partner in understanding how product performance and usage impact overall business results. Finance is the functional owner of Payment Operations, with Product and Technology supporting through automation, tooling, and incident resolution. The Payment Operations Specialist ensures that all money movements are executed accurately, on time, and in compliance with financial and regulatory standards.

    What You'll Do

    • Daily Operations
      • Monitor payment queues, file submissions, and settlements; trigger retries or reversals as needed.
      • Ensure settlement files are sent and received within expected timelines and banking windows.
    • Reconciliation
      • Match transactions between Flinks' internal ledger, processor reports, and client records (end‑to‑end reconciliation).
      • Identify and resolve mismatches quickly and document outcomes.
    • Exception Handling
      • Investigate failed, delayed, or mismatched transactions; manage incident reports; work with Product and Tech to address root causes.
    • Client Coordination
      • Communicate with clients on payment exceptions or recovery efforts; provide clear, timely updates with professional tone and empathy.
    • Risk & Compliance
      • Monitor for unusual transaction patterns or limits being exceeded; elevate any suspected fraud or regulatory issues to the Risk/Compliance team.
      • Follow policies related to AML, KYC, and ATF procedures.
    • Reporting & Analytics
      • Produce daily and weekly reports summarizing payment performance, failures, exceptions, and aged transactions.
      • Produce ad hoc reports for the finance team related to payment operations for billing and recovery purposes.
      • Analyze transaction data to refine Flinks' financial models, support strategic decision‑making, and optimize pricing and operational performance.
    • Continuous Improvement
      • Maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
      • Identify automation opportunities (templates, alerts, scripts) to reduce manual work.
      • Collaborate with Engineering and Product to streamline tools and data flows.

    Who You Are

    • 3‑5 years of experience in payment operations or fintech operations, managing reconciliations, settlements, and transaction processing from start to finish.
    • Strong working knowledge of banking and payment networks such as EFT, ACH, and wire transfers – you understand how money actually moves.
    • Hands‑on experience investigating exceptions and failed transactions, including NSFs, reversals, and mismatched settlements.
    • Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail – you catch discrepancies before they become issues.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; able to build reports, automate checks, and analyze transaction data with ease.
    • Familiarity with SQL or other data query tools to extract and validate financial information.
    • Excellent communicator and collaborator – equally comfortable working with clients, internal teams, and banking partners to resolve issues quickly and professionally.
    • Proven ability to analyze payment trends, identify opportunities to improve processes, and support strategic decision‑making through data insights.
    • A proactive problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and takes ownership of outcomes.

    • Experience with chargebacks, disputes, fraud detection, or BI dashboards to enhance visibility and control.

    À propos de l'équipe

    Le ou la Spécialiste des opérations de paiements est responsable d'exécuter et de surveiller le flux quotidien des paiements, afin de s'assurer que les transactions circulent de façon fluide entre les comptes des utilisateurs finaux, les systèmes de Flinks et les institutions financières externes.

    Ce rôle est au cœur du mouvement d'argent lié aux produits Flinks – traitement des paiements, rapprochement des comptes, résolution des exceptions (comme les débits refusés ou les renversements) et coordination avec les partenaires bancaires et les équipes internes.

    La personne titulaire du poste analyse également les données de transaction afin d'optimiser la tarification et agit comme partenaire stratégique pour comprendre comment la performance et l'utilisation des produits influencent les résultats globaux de l'entreprise.

    Le service des Finances est le propriétaire fonctionnel des opérations de paiements, appuyé par les équipes Produit et Technologie pour tout ce qui touche à l'automatisation, aux outils et à la résolution d'incidents. Le ou la Spécialiste veille à ce que tous les mouvements de fonds soient exécutés avec exactitude, ponctualité et conformité aux normes financières et réglementaires.

    • Opérations quotidiennes
      • Surveiller les files de paiements, les soumissions de fichiers et les règlements ; relancer ou inverser les transactions au besoin.
      • S'assurer que les fichiers de règlement sont envoyés et reçus selon les délais et les fenêtres bancaires prévues.
    • Rapprochement
      • Faire correspondre les transactions entre le grand livre interne de Flinks, les rapports des processeurs et les relevés clients (rapprochement « de bout en bout »).
      • Identifier et résoudre rapidement les écarts, puis documenter les résultats.
    • Gestion des exceptions
      • Enquêter sur les transactions échouées, retardées ou incohérentes ; rédiger les rapports d'incident ; collaborer avec les équipes Produit et Technologie pour corriger les causes à la source.
    • Coordination avec la clientèle
      • Communiquer avec les clients concernant les exceptions ou les récupérations de paiements ; fournir des mises à jour claires, ponctuelles et professionnelles, avec empathie.
    • Risque et conformité
      • Surveiller les activités de paiement inhabituelles ou dépassant les limites prévues ; signaler toute fraude potentielle ou question réglementaire à l'équipe Risque/Conformité.
      • Appliquer les politiques liées à la LBA (lutte contre le blanchiment d'argent), la connaissance du client (KYC) et la lutte contre le financement du terrorisme (LFT).
    • Rapports et analyses
      • Produire des rapports quotidiens et hebdomadaires résumant la performance des paiements, les échecs, les exceptions, et les transactions en souffrance.
      • Préparer des rapports ponctuels pour l'équipe Finance concernant la facturation et la récupération.
      • Analyser les données de transaction afin d'améliorer les modèles financiers de Flinks, soutenir la prise de décision stratégique et optimiser la tarification et la performance opérationnelle.
    • Amélioration continue
      • Maintenir et améliorer les procédures opérationnelles normalisées (PON).
      • Repérer et mettre en œuvre des occasions d'automatisation (templates, alerts, scripts) pour réduire le travail manuel.
      • Collaborer avec les équipes d'Ingénierie et de Produit pour améliorer les outils, les processus et la qualité des données.

    Profil recherché

    • 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en opérations de paiements ou opérations fintech, couvrant le rapprochement, le règlement et le traitement des transactions de bout en bout.
    • Solide connaissance des réseaux et canaux de paiement (EFT, ACH, virements bancaires) – vous comprenez concrètement comment l'argent circule.
    • Expérience pratique dans l'enquête et la résolution d'exceptions ou de transactions échouées, y compris les NSF, renversements et écarts de règlement.
    • Grand sens analytique et rigueur exemplaire – vous détectez les anomalies avant qu'elles ne deviennent des problèmes.
    • Maîtrise avancée d'Excel ou Google Sheets ; capable de bâtir des rapports, d'automatiser des vérifications et d'analyser des données de transactions.
    • Connaissance de SQL ou d'autres outils de requêtes pour extraire et valider des informations financières.
    • Excellentes compétences de communication et de collaboration – à l'aise autant avec les clients, les partenaires bancaires que les équipes internes pour résoudre efficacement les enjeux.
    • Capacité démontrée à analyser les tendances de paiement, à repérer les opportunités d'amélioration et à soutenir la prise de décision stratégique grâce aux données insights.
    • Esprit proactif – vous aimez les environnements dynamiques à grand volume et prenez la pleine responsabilité des résultats.
