LOOKING FOR ONLY A PSYCHOLOGIST:


  • Multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary clinic in Maple, Ontario with a collaborative healthcare management model with the following healthcare providers: MDs (physiatry, and sports medicine), Naturopaths, Chiropractors, Psychologists, RMT, and a mindfulness meditation practitioner.
  • We pride ourselves on having a great culture in our clinic with amiable staff and healthcare providers.
  • First communitybased clinic to receive government funding for select patients in our Chronic Pain Interdisciplinary program which guarantees 13 psychotherapy sessions per patient.
  • Supervision (as needed) with Lead Psychologist and additional education with a Chiropractor, Psychotherapist, Naturopath and Mindfulness providers to increase knowledge in various healthrelated fields.
  • We have clinical rounds every 2 weeks (3 hours per month) to discuss shared patients with all our healthcare providers. The time is also used for providers to present on healthrelated topics to educate the team and promote discussion and learning. All healthcare providers who attend are financially compensated.
  • We offer extendedhealth benefits for our fulltime staff.
  • Extremely low staff turnover rate at the clinic. All providers have been here for many years, and we are looking for a registered psychologist who is looking to stay longterm and grow with our clinic family.

  • We are a family business (Owned by a Chiropractor, MD, and business manager) and truly understand the needs of our providers and continually work to improve with clinic staff feedback.
  • We use Accuro an electronic medical records system that requires notes to be done online.
  • Compensation will be based on a percentage split.

Schedule:


  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability (we are not open on weekends yet being flexible to work weekends would be great)

Supplemental pay types:

COVID-19 considerations:


  • Our clinic is in line with the health regulations of the government of Canada. Currently, masks are optional however, if we are mandated to wear them during patient encounters, it will be a clinic requirement.

License/Certification:


  • Must have registration with College of Psychologists of Ontario

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct clinical interviews hours) and write brief reports for new clients in a chronic pain program and for submission to auto insurers (MVA clients)
  • Provide psychotherapy tailored to client's needs
  • Ensure clinical notes are uploaded to our medical electronic system in 48 hours
  • Participate in brief meetings with other providers to discuss mutual cases as needed

Requirements:


  • Minimum 23 years of clinical experience primarily with an Adult population
  • Experience with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques and/or other modalities (e.g., ACT, mindfulness, DBT, etc.)
  • Experience in chronic pain would be an asset
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with the other team specialist
  • Effective communication skills and fluency in English
